Volunteering at Cogdell Memorial Hospital
HOSPITAL AUXILIARY
The Hospital Auxiliary is a non-profit organization that provides volunteer work at the hospital. We help the hospital by purchasing select equipment for them. The auxiliary also helps in the education of our nursing staff, as well as other fields. We sometimes refer to these ladies as the "Pink Ladies" because of the pink colored smocks that they wear. Our men volunteers are a welcome part of the team also.
We provide a variety of different services. We deliver newspapers to the patients, deliver the letters and cards that are sent to the patient in care of the hospital, and should the patient receive plants or flowers, we also deliver them to the rooms.
We also take a big part in the blood drives that are held at the hospital. We feel we should do our part to help our community. We try to encourage everyone who can to donate blood.

the hospital, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

VOLUNTEER CLERGY
We at Cogdell Memorial Hospital believe our patients’ spiritual needs and health are as important as their physical healing. To meet these needs, we would like to establish a Volunteer Chaplaincy Program to help patients in times of crisis. There have been times in which a patient passed away, they and their family member(s) had no spiritual support and our nurses had no volunteer clergy that could be called.
If you have a passion to help others who have physical, as well as spiritual needs, are an ordained minister or have a signed letter by your church organization to act on their behalf, please call Belinda Kerr at 325 574-7182. Training will be provided at which time you will be given an identification badge with an access card.
