The Admitting department is located in the front lobby for Outpatient and Inpatient Registrations. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The ER registration entrance is on the North side of the Lobby entrance. It is staffed 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
Admission consists of signing forms and obtaining copies of your insurance cards. Please be aware that at this time, we verify all insurance eligibility and provide information of your co-pay and deductible responsibilities. Although we strive to complete this process quickly, we request that you plan your registration time accordingly to your scheduled visit.
Patients who are not insured will be requested to make a deposit on their account prior or at the time of admission. A discount will be given if the amount is paid in full at time of admission.

Charity Care Program
Cogdell Memorial Hospital does have the Indigent Health Care Program which meets the state and federal guidelines for a hospital district. This program provides unreimbursed services to financially and medically indigent patients who qualify regardless to race, creed, color, or national origin. Other programs may be available. Pre-Registration for Scheduled Admissions
For your convenience, a pre-admission process is designed to make your admission to the facility as simple and efficient as possible. You may be notified by phone to request correct insurance, demographic and guarantor information. Also, you will be counseled on you co-pays and deductibles at this time. Upon arrival to the facility, check in at the Admitting desk for payment, signatures and to pick up your paperwork for your scheduled appointment.
