Your baby’s birth: It’s a special day for you, your family and for us here at Cogdell Memorial Hospital. We want to make your experience the best it can be. That includes providing private, comfortable rooms with monitoring technology to treat problems that might arise during labor. A private Hydrotherapy room is also available.
We encourage you to have a natural experience by holding your baby skin-to-skin right after birth and in the hours and days following. Your baby will not be whisked away to perform assessments and tests – all of these can be done while you and your baby bond right from the minute of birth while your baby lies on your chest.
