Cogdell Memorial Hospital
Contributions to the Cogdell Foundation are a thoughtful way to pay
tribute to loved ones either by memorial or in their honor. Gifts from
individuals, corporations, and foundations help to further the mission
of Cogdell Memorial Hospital which is dedicated to providing the highest
level of quality service to meet the health care needs in our community.
There are many ways to give and any amount we receive is appreciated by
the patients and community members served through Cogdell Memorial
Hospital. One way of giving is through the Tree of Life. Located in the
main lobby of Cogdell Memorial Hospital, the Tree of Life is seen and
admired by thousands of visitors and staff throughout the year.
The Cogdell Foundation may also be included in your retirement and
estate planning. You can diminish your tax burden while supporting the
highest in quality healthcare and in the future of healthcare for the
generations to come. Contributions can be designated for a specific
purpose, such as patient care areas or for capital equipment. Unless
specified, gifts will be considered unrestricted.

The D.M. Cogdell Memorial Hospital Foundation was organized and
incorporated as a 501(c)(3) on March 18, 1981 for the primary purpose to
receive and maintain a fund or funds of real and personal property for
the exclusive benefit of Cogdell Memorial Hospital.
The CMH Foundation has been instrumental in securing funds and assisting
the hospital with the purchase of materials for major renovation
projects and equipment as well as helping to meet other needs. Benefits
for the hospital and patients have been:
A Mammography suite
A Colonoscope, Laryngoscope, anesthesia equipment and an oscillating saw
for the Operating Room
A Lab chemical analyzer
Scrubs for Dietary employees
Scholarships for Physical Therapy, Nursing, and Medical students
Christmas turkeys and hams for employees
A stair climber, bicycle, traction unit and other equipment for Rehab
Funds for Employee Service Awards banquets
Equipment for the start up of the Specialty Clinic
2011:
The Foundation purchased a dual blanket/liquid warmer for the OR and had
the automatic swing door installed for Ambulatory Services.
Members of the Foundation personally delivered Christmas goody baskets
to hospital departments to show their appreciation to employees.
