COGDELL FOUNDATION
|
| The Foundation accepts and manages gifts from individuals,
corporations, and foundations to further the mission of Cogdell Memorial
Hospital. Gifts to the Cogdell Foundation are a thoughtful way for
individuals, groups or organizations to pay tribute to loved ones, either
as memorials or in their honor.
By including the Cogdell Foundation in your retirement and estate
planning, you can diminish the tax burden while supporting the highest in
quality health care for your local area.

Unlike a for-profit organization, the Foundation does not
pay dividends to shareholders. Cogdell does, however, have obligations to its
stakeholders and they take seriously these obligations. These stake
holders come in various forms:
-
250 Employees whose livelihoods come from
Cogdell;
-
Volunteers who share their community
spirit with Cogdell; and,
- Physicians who practice the art of healing at Cogdell.
And there are others:
-
Patients who come to Cogdell for
treatment;
-
People who are ill, awaiting researchers
to find a cure for their diseases; and,
- Babies yet unborn who will begin life at Cogdell.
Because of these stakeholders, Cogdell turns to the community for
philanthropic support. Today's reality is that Cogdell cannot alone support
all that is necessary to fulfill its mission. In that light, Cogdell
increasingly calls upon the community to secure funding for projects that
assist the hospital. Due to changes in the health care payment system, the
need for charitable contributions is growing each year. Likewise, the
ultimate beneficiaries of those resources are those who have a stake in
Cogdell's future. |
| |
| Contributions can be designated for a specific purpose,
such as patient care areas or for capital equipment. Unless specified,
gifts will be considered unrestricted. |

The foundation will be helping Cogdell Memorial Hospital with
