Cogdell Family Clinic is a hospital based primary care clinic developed to help serve the community’s health care needs. Our highly skilled medical staff provides a variety of services to help keep you and your family healthy.

January 2010  ~~  Telemedicine services are now available!

The telemedicine equipment was acquired and installed by Texas Tech University Health Science Center’s (TTUHSC) Telemedicine Program as part of Project CHART – Children’s Healthcare Access for Rural Texas.

Telemedicine is the practice of medicine over distance with the use of tele-communications equipment. The telemedicine cart is equipped with a flat panel LCD television and video conferencing equipment; a general exam camera; telephonic stethoscope, and an ear, nose and throat (ENT) scope. Access to TTUHSC specialists in pediatric psychiatry, dermatology, urology, pulmonology, allergy, obesity, cardiology and more will be available as well as some adult specialists.

Project CHART was developed from a state medical initiative to expand access to pediatric specialty care for Medicaid enrolled children living in rural and underserved communities. The project is funded by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to establish 30 communitity telemedicine sites over a 26 month period beginning last July 1, 2009.
