For more than 55 years, Cogdell Memorial Hospital has proudly served the residents of Snyder and Scurry County, and surrounding areas, with quality
health, medical and surgical care for inpatient, outpatient and emergency department patients.
The Medical Campus includes the Family / Rural Clinic, Specialty Clinic, Business Office, Home Health, Rehab and Wellness Center, Assisted Living Center and the Hospital.
The Hospital services include a 24-hour 7 day a week Emergency Department, Heli-Port for medical air transportation, Day /Ambulatory Surgery, SCU, Laboratory, Patient Floors, OB & Nursery, Surgery Facilities, Pharmacy, Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, Sleep Lab, and Social Services.

Cogdell Memorial Hospital is a 2009 TMF Health Care
Quality Improvement Award Winner!
The award acknowledges hospitals for improving care related to acute
myocardial infarction or AMI (heart attack), heart failure, pneumonia
and surgical care. These clinical areas have been designated as national
health care priorities by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
(CMS) and The Joint Commission, an independent nonprofit,
standards-setting and accrediting body in health care.
For those who smoke, three areas on the hospital grounds have been designated for smoking. In the interest of health of our patients, visitors, and employees who do not smoke, we ask that smoking be limited to these areas.
1. The patio adjacent to the main entrance of the hospital
2. The north side outside of the Emergency Room
3. The patio area

- Cogdell Hospital Board Room is wheelchair accessible.
- A barrier free entry is available at the main entrance of the Hospital with specially marked parking spaces nearby.
- Requests for sign language interpretation or other special services must be received two (2) working days prior to the meeting.
- All public requests to address the Board must be registered in advance.

Scurry County Hospital District adopted a tax rate increase that
will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's
tax rate; and
The tax rate will effectively be raised by 5.46875% and will raise taxes
for maintenance and operation on a $100,000 home by approximately $14.00
a year.
